• NCOA is partnering with Lyft to provide older adults access to reliable, affordable rides to both of their COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

  • Aging services professionals can help their older clients by using the special #LyftUp promo codes—worth up to $25 per person each way.

  • The vaccine ride codes are part of the LyftUp program to ensure equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine.

As adults age, the risk of severe illness—and even death—from COVID-19 increases. That’s why the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending that adults 65 years and older receive the vaccine. For many older adults and those with ongoing conditions like heart disease and diabetes, the vaccine can prevent severe illness or death.

That’s why NCOA and Lyft are partnering to provide access to reliable, affordable transportation to older adults who want to get the vaccine but are unable to get there due to lack of transportation.

NCOA is distributing ride codes to our aging services network that can be used to help older clients get access to free or discounted rides to and from their vaccine appointments. To ensure you are well equipped to help your older adult clients, NCOA is hosting a free webinar on Thursday, May 24 to walk through the details.

To ensure these limited resources are used for those most in need, please do NOT share these promo codes with businesses or government agencies.

How to use the NCOA-Lyft vaccine ride codes

The Lyft promo codes we’re offering can be used for rides to and from each dose of the COVID vaccine. Each code below covers up to $50 each trip ($25 to the vaccine appointment and $25 back home). There are no location restrictions, and the vaccine ride codes are valid through December 31, 2021.

  • Dose 1 Code (to and from their appointment): SENIORVAX1
  • Dose 2 Code (to and from their appointment): SENIORVAX2
