Join me for a private docent-led tour of the historic quarters of the Los Angeles County Arboretum, featuring the Queen Anne Cottage (of Fantasy Island fame).
The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is a unique 127-acre botanical garden and historical site that includes Native American, Rancho Period, and Victorian treasures. When Elias Jackson “Lucky” Baldwin purchased Rancho Santa Anita in 1875, he acquired the natural lakes on the property. In 1947, the State of California and County of Los Angeles jointly purchased 111 acres from Rancho Santa Anita, Inc. to create an arboretum around the Baldwin Ranch.
There is a good amount of walking, so wear flat shoes.
After our tour, we can stroll the grounds among the friendly peacocks and have lunch at the Peacock Cafe if you so desire.
ADULTS ONLY. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE 18 OR OLDER. NO PETS.
Please note that there is a one-week cancellation policy.
